How to Request Data Deletion

For students: your school manages your Novi account, so the quickest route is to ask your school to remove you from their Novi dashboard — deletion is immediate.

You can also email us at privacy@getnovi.co.uk with:

• Your full name
• The email address you use in Novi
• Your school name
• Subject line: "Data Deletion Request"

Because your school is the data controller and Novi is the data processor, we will pass your request to your school and support them so that it is completed within 30 days, as required by UK GDPR.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed:

• ✓ Your name and email address
• ✓ Your school association and class/timetable links
• ✓ Your focus mode status and full session history (tap-in/tap-out records and how each session ended)
• ✓ Session integrity and emergency exit records
• ✓ Your Firebase authentication account

Data we retain temporarily

A security audit log recording that the deletion took place (which account was deleted, by whom, and when) is kept for 90 days for security and accountability, then automatically deleted.
